About the Artist Dr John Capps
John Capps is a board-certified internist 
who now has a bariatric practice in Rock Hill, SC, although he lives in Gastonia, NC. He went to Wake Forest University as an undergraduate and Duke University Medical School. After internship and residency in Richmond, he move to Gastonia where he practices internal medicine for the next 20 years. After a successful fight with testicular cancer in 2007-2008, he decided to leave the hectic pace of primary care medicine and opened up Complete Wellness Medical Weight Loss Center, in Rock Hill, a solo practice.
He is an self-taught artist and cartoonist, and have had several of his cartoons published, although he rarely submits cartoons now since so few medical publications now use them.
