I'm JOHN CAPPS MD, a board-certified internist, now a practicing bariatrician, in Gastonia, NC, and Rock Hill, SC, who also is an artist and cartoonist. My practice website is HERE.
My work has been featured in some more open-minded medical publications, and I am using this website to highlight some of my favorite productions, both in serious and not-so-serious art.
I am always open to fresh ideas if you have some that would make interesting cartoons. I am especially interested in doing cartoons for medical lectures. If you've been to many medical conferences, you know how often cartoons are used to spice up a lecture. Unfortunately, most of these are used without permission. I am available to make ad hoc, bespoke, if you will, cartoons for medical lectures at a nominal one time fee of $25 per cartoon ( via Paypal.) You can provide me with the general or specific subject and let me go my own way, or a very specific idea for your cartoon.
As of 17Feb2011, I re-vamped this website and hope to be adding regular additions to it.
